Background
My research deals with the function of sleep as this is one of the greatest biological questions so far still unresolved. I established a non-invasive method to record the brain activity of birds in the field. By studying animals in the ecological context in which sleep evolved this will lead to more insight into the function of sleep.
At the group of Prof. Veigel I am involved in the teaching of the physiology module for medical students.
