Following my PhD in Biochemistry at the Goehte University of Frankfurt (EMBO fellowship), I started a career at GlaxoSmithKline, Rheumatoid Arthritis Centre of Drug Discovery, United Kingdom investigating mechanisms of Rituxan-induced B-cell depletion in B-cell lymphoma. I continued as a group leader in R&D at Morphosys AG Munich and Roche Diagnostics GmbH, Penzberg focussing on development of therapeutic antibodies in autoimmune diseases and cancer. Since 2014 I moved back to academic environment being employed as a lecturer at the BMC for Biochemistry and Physiology.
